How it works

Celsius and Fahrenheit share a linear relationship: °F = °C × 9/5 + 32. Kelvin is an absolute scale shifted from Celsius by 273.15, so 0 K is absolute zero. This tool applies those formulas live as you type — useful for recipes, weather apps that mix units, school homework, and lab notes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Kelvin never negative in normal use?

Kelvin starts at absolute zero (0 K). Negative Kelvin is not used in everyday conversion — if you enter a Kelvin value below 0, the Celsius and Fahrenheit results will still compute mathematically but are not physically meaningful for ordinary temperatures.

Is 37°C exactly body temperature?

It is the commonly cited average. Individual body temperature varies slightly by person, time of day, and measurement method.

Do you store what I type?

No. Conversion runs entirely in your browser.
