How This Age Calculator Works
Enter your date of birth and this tool works out your exact age in years, months, and days — accounting for how many days are in each month and whether you've passed your birthday yet this year, rather than just doing simple subtraction on the year.
Why Your Age in Days or Weeks Matters
Age in years is the standard for most forms and IDs, but age in months matters for infant development milestones, and age in days or weeks is often used in medical and scientific contexts, or just for fun round-number milestone tracking (turning 10,000 days old, for instance).
Calculating Age for Official Documents
Many application forms — school admissions, government IDs, eligibility for certain schemes — require your exact age as of a specific date, not just your age today. If you need age as of a particular date rather than today, mentally adjust by entering that date as "today" isn't directly supported, but you can calculate the difference manually using the days figure above.
